ShrimProtect IHHNV

ShrimProtect RxReady IHHNV qPCR Kit utilizes our advanced proprietary Fenrir Mastermix with specific fluorescence probes to accurately detect Infectious Hypodermal and Haematopoietic Necrosis Virus (IHHNV) type 1 and 2 in various samples in under 35 minutes.

Analytical Performance

Limit of Detection (LoD): 0.25 copies/µL reaction.
Good linearity (R2 > 0.99) from 100,000 copies/reaction until 10 copies/reaction.

Sample Type

Purified DNA from broodstock, shrimp fries, shrimps, artemia, polychaeta, water, mud, and feed.

Product Details

ShrimProtect RxReady IHHNV qPCR Kit is being validated by Balai Pengujian Ikan & Lingkungan (BPKIL) and is waiting for the Registration Number (NIE) as a kit to detect the NSP target gene of IHHNV. The kit also contains Internal Control for shrimp.

Procedures

Store the reagents at -20oC upon delivery.

When ready to use, thaw completely and pipette 15 µL to each well of the PCR tube strip or well plate.

Mix 5 µL of the purified DNA and you are ready to run the PCR reaction.

FAQ

Enteric tissues (e.g. the hepatopancreas, the midgut or its caeca) are the appropriate samples for detection of IHHNV.
This qPCR Kit is compatible with various extraction methods, including commercially available spin column extraction. Achieve optimal performance by pairing this qPCR Kit with our ShrimProtect X-Kit.
