PathoScan hrHPV qPCR Kit utilizes our advanced proprietary Fenrir Mastermix with specific fluorescence probes to accurately detect 14 high-risk HPV and genotype HPV52, HPV16, HPV18  from cervical swab and urine samples in under 35 minutes.

Product Details

PathoScan hrHPV qPCR Kit has acquired certification from KEMENKES RI AKD 20306320321 to detect 14 high-risk HPV that cause cervical cancer. PathoScan hrHPV can identify HPV 16, HPV 18, HPV 52, and HPV Others (HPV 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68) with β-globin as the Internal Control. The Limit of Detection (LoD) ranges from 0.5 to 1.25 copies/µL reaction with a clinical accuracy of 99.65% for cervical swabs and 98.48% for urine samples. 

Procedures

Store the reagents at -20oC upon delivery.

When ready to use, thaw completely and pipette 15 µL to each well of the PCR tube strip or well plate.

Mix 5 µL of the purified DNA and you are ready to run the PCR reaction.

HPV infection affects epithelial cells and can lead to dysplasia of the cervix, anus, oropharynx, penis, vagina, and vulva.
This qPCR Kit is compatible with various extraction methods, including commercially available spin column extraction.

Urine that can be used as an HPV DNA test specimen is the first void urine/first stream urine. First void urine is preferred as it contains a higher concentration of HPV DNA compared to random or midstream urine due to its ability to collect most of the cellular debris from the urogenital tract.
No, because Cy5.5 is used to detect β-globin as an internal control. If the PCR instrument does not have a Cy5.5 channel, a crosstalk may potentially occur with the Cy5 channel.
PathoScan hrHPV qPCR relies on HPV DNA detection, whereas the Pap smear is based on the observation of cervical cells. Due to its focus on HPV DNA, PathoScan hrHPV qPCR Kit enhances the likelihood of early detection of cervical cancer.
