More than six million mBioCoV-19 qRT-PCR Kits were used to fight the pandemic

mBioCOv-19 is a local multiplex qRT-PCR test kit born out of a nationalistic desire to collaborate in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia.


A collaboration result between Nusantics and the Indonesian National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), mBioCOv-19, is designed to detect conserved target genes to detect all COVID-19 strains in Indonesia with certainty. This is validated by independent laboratories and has a specificity of 100% and a sensitivity above 95%.

mBioCov-19 qRT-PCR Test kit has been certified and authorized by Indonesian Ministry of Health.


Target Gene:
  • Helicase/nsp-13
  • RdRp/nsp-12
    Two target genes that are highly conserved and proven effective in detecting 12 recent mutations including Delta, Delta Plus, Mu, and Omicron
Performance:
  • LoD 5 copies/reaction
  • Specificity 100% to SARS-COV-2
  • Sensitivity 98%
Linearity:
Good Linearity (R2 > 0,99) from 10.000 copies/Reaction until 10 copies/reaction

Since its first launch in July 2020, the mBioCov-19 qRT-PCR Test kit has been proven to predict the Covid-19 mutation. Nusantics was the first to use Helicase and RdRp as Target Gene.
