ShrimProtect RxReady YHV qRT-PCR Kit utilizes our advanced proprietary Fenrir Mastermix with specific fluorescence probes to accurately detect target genes of the Yellow Head Virus (YHV) in various samples in under 45 minutes.

Analytical Performance

Limit of Detection (LoD): 0.25 copies/uL reaction.

Product Details

ShrimProtect RxReady YHV qPCR Kit is being validated by Balai Pengujian Ikan & Lingkungan (BPKIL) and is waiting for the Registration Number (NIE) as a kit to detect the target gene Replicase polyprotein 1ab of YHV. The kit also contains Internal Control for shrimp.

Procedures

Store the reagents at -20^oC upon delivery.

When ready to use, thaw the reagents completely. Mix 0.2 µL of RT Enzyme with 14.8 µL of the YHV SuperMix and pipette 15 µL to each well of the PCR tube strip or well plate.

Mix 5 µL of the purified RNA and you are ready to run the PCR reaction.

Which organs or tissue that are recommended for use in YHV PCR test?

If you want to test juvenile or adult shrimp, the samples needed are from lymphoid organs, gill tissue, or hemolymph may be used to prepare total RNA.

What are the extraction methods that can be used to perform the qPCR test?
