Product Details
The ShrimProtect X-Kit utilizes a silica-based spin column to extract and enrich total nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) with high yield and purity from a wide range of samples, including shrimp and water. The silica solid phase binds nucleic acids under specific conditions, allowing for the washing and elution of DNA and RNA with high purity, free from contaminants.
Procedures
Kit storage condition: Store at room temperature (20 - 25oC). Carrier RNA should be stored at -20oC±5oC after dissolution.
- Sample Grinding: Add the samples to be extracted into a 1.5 mL tube. Use tissue grinder consumables to grind the samples until a fine consistency is achieved.
- Preparation Buffer: Prepare the samples by adding the Preparation Buffer according to the instructions in the manual.
- Lysis Step:
- Transfer the prepared samples to the Lysis Buffer Mix, which includes Lysis Buffer, carrier RNA, and Proteinase K.
- Incubate the samples for lysis at 72°C for 5 minutes.
- Extraction Protocol: Follow the extraction protocol as detailed in the manual.
- Elution:
- Elute the purified total nucleic acid with 50 µL of Eluent Buffer.
- Store the eluted nucleic acid at -20°C.
