- Maintain existing Go microservices (bug fixes, feature enhancements)
- Develop new API endpoints for frontend integration
- Database schema updates and data migrations
- Implement background jobs and scheduled tasks
- Cache optimization and performance improvements
- Third-party integrations and data synchronization
- Code reviews and technical collaboration
- Go fundamentals: structs, interfaces, error handling, goroutines
- Database operations: schema understanding, basic optimization
- API design: RESTful principles, JSON handling
- Testing: unit tests, integration testing basics
- Code collaboration: pull requests, code reviews
Ideally, You Would Have
- 2-3 years professional Go development with web applications
- Microservices experience (working with existing architectures)
- MySQL/PostgreSQL database work and query optimization
- RESTful API development and integration
- Unit testing and code quality practices
- Git workflows and collaborative development
- Cron job implementation and background task scheduling
- Redis caching strategies and implementation
- Third-party API integration experience (webhooks, authentication, data sync)
- AWS basics (EC2, RDS, S3)
- Monorepo experience
- Dashboard/admin panel development
- Scientific/lab software exposure
